Repayment (only the loan half):

• Start: 5 years after the end of the maximum funding period
• Instalment: €130/month (instalment payment) or a lump sum with a discount
• Repay a maximum of €10,010 – no matter how much you received

BAföG for studying abroad:

• HIGHER income limits than normal BAföG!
• Grant towards tuition fees: up to €5,600 (no loan!)
• Even if you don't get BAföG in Germany, you may be eligible abroad

Did you know? If you receive BAföG and finish your degree within the standard period of study, you can get an additional reduction on what you have to repay.
