Dividend strategy

Investierenab 13 J.
Deliberately investing in high-dividend shares: 3–5% annual payout. Goal: regular passive income. Popular dividend ETF: Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield.

The dividend strategy focuses on shares and ETFs that regularly pay high dividends – for passive income.

Typical dividend yields:

• MSCI World: approx. 1.5–2% (low, but more price gains)
• Dividend ETFs: approx. 3–4% (higher distributions)
• Individual dividend shares: 3–7% (Allianz ~5%, Munich Re ~4%)

Popular dividend ETFs:

• Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield: 3.2% dividend, TER 0.29%
• SPDR S&P Global Dividend Aristocrats: only companies with 25+ years of rising dividends
• iShares STOXX Global Select Dividend 100: top 100 dividend payers worldwide

Who is it suitable for?

• When building wealth (young): rather NOT – accumulating ETFs are more tax-efficient
• In retirement: YES – regular distributions partly replace your salary
• To use the saver's allowance: collect up to €1,000/year tax-free in Germany

Did you know? The “Dividend Aristocrats” are companies that have raised their dividend EVERY year for at least 25 years. Procter & Gamble has done so for more than 65 years – without a break.
