Deductible (excess)

Versicherungab 9 J.
The amount you have to pay yourself in the event of a claim before the insurance steps in. Higher deductible = lower premiums.
🇩🇪 The detailed explanation is only available in German so far – help translate it!

Typische Selbstbeteiligungen:

• Kfz-Vollkasko: 300–500€ (üblich)
• Kfz-Teilkasko: 150€ (Standard)
• Hausratversicherung: 0–500€
• Privathaftpflicht: 0–150€
• Zahnzusatzversicherung: Oft Wartezeiten statt SB

Wie viel spart die Selbstbeteiligung?

• 150€ SB in der Teilkasko: 10–30% niedrigere Prämie
• 300€ SB in der Vollkasko: 15–25% niedrigere Prämie
• 500€ SB in der Vollkasko: 25–35% niedrigere Prämie

Faustregel:

Did you know? A €500 deductible on comprehensive car insurance lowers the premium by up to 35%. Especially worthwhile if you rarely make claims.
