Shrinkflation

Konsumab 5 J.
When products get smaller but the price stays the same: the crisp packet suddenly has 175 g instead of 200 g but still costs €2.49. A hidden price increase hardly anyone notices.
🇩🇪 The detailed explanation is only available in German so far – help translate it!

• Waschmittel: „Neue Rezeptur!“ = gleicher Preis, 20% weniger Inhalt

Wie du dich schützt:

✅ Kilopreis vergleichen!

Did you know? The Hamburg consumer advice centre keeps a “rip-off packaging list” with hundreds of examples of shrinkflation. In 2023 it awarded the “Golden Cream Puff” to the most brazen rip-off packaging of the year.
