Understanding barter

Kinderab 5 J.
Before money existed, people traded goods directly: a chicken for bread, a fur for a tool. Children learn why money was invented and how practical it is.
🇩🇪 The detailed explanation is only available in German so far – help translate it!

Was ist schwierig? Was würdet ihr als Tauschmittel wählen?

Did you know? Before money, there was the problem of the “double coincidence of wants”: the baker wants your chicken, and you want his bread. Money solves exactly this problem.
