Germans spend an average of €1,200 per person on their annual holiday. Here's how to plan a realistic budget – and save with early booking, off-season travel and package holidays.

Urlaubs-Budget realistisch planen:

Typische Kosten (pro Person, 1 Woche):

• Pauschalreise Türkei/Griechenland: 600–1.000€ (Flug + Hotel + Halbpension)
• Pauschalreise Spanien/Italien: 700–1.200€
• Städtereise (Paris, London): 500–900€ (Flug + Hotel)
• Fernreise (Thailand, USA): 1.500–3.000€
• Camping Deutschland: 300–600€ (günstigste Option!)

Spartipps:

✅ Frühbucher-Rabatt: 3–6 Monate vorher buchen, oft 15–30% günstiger
✅ Nebensaison: Mai/Juni oder September statt Juli/August – 20–40% günstiger
✅ Flexibel beim Flughafen: Ab Memmingen/Weeze statt München/Düsseldorf
✅ Ferienwohnung statt Hotel: Besonders für Familien günstiger (selber kochen!)
✅ Jahres-Sparplan: 1.000€ Urlaubsbudget ÷ 12 = 83€/Monat per Dauerauftrag

Did you know? German families spend €4,000–6,000 a year on holidays. Tip: a separate holiday account with a €400/month standing order makes holidays stress-free to finance.
