Certificates (structured products)

Börseab 13 J.
Securities issued by banks that track the performance of an underlying asset. Especially popular in Germany – but with issuer risk: if the bank goes bust (like Lehman Brothers), the money is gone.
🇩🇪 The detailed explanation is only available in German so far – help translate it!

Euro in Deutschland – kein anderes Land handelt so viele Zertifikate.

Did you know? Germany is by far the world's largest certificates market. Around 1.5 million different certificates are listed on German exchanges. For comparison: there are only about 3,500 shares on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
